Nokia C3 cell phone with QWERTY keypadWe’ve already talked about the E5 & C6 on our previous post.   Now lets talk about the  Nokia’s C3 cell phone which is also one among the three handsets that Nokia has introduced recently to the market with the goal of providing better and newer messaging at affordable prices.  C3 mobile phone has a 2.4-inch TFT with 320×240 pixels display, and is also the first Symbian S40 device to sport a full QWERTY keyboard.

The handset is designed to put messaging as well as social networking at the tip of our fingers that is why it comes with instant access to our favorite e-mail accounts, social networking sites, and instant messaging via the latest version of Nokia Messaging. It comes with its unique feature of Conversational SMS. And yes, with the latest version of  Messaging, you can have one-click access to Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat so that you can be updated by seeing new alerts and be able to find your favorite contacts easily on the homescreen.

Specs-wise, C3 boasts a 2MP camera facilitating clear-quality photo and good video capturing, 55MB internal storage, a microSD card which can support up to 8GB storage, FM Stereo radio, GPS, and 3.5mm Audio jack, etc. As for the connectivity, experience wonderful connectivity via EDGE and GPRS features. You can browse the Internet as the handset comes with Wi-Fi, HTML (Opera Mini), and Browser WAP. To connect with other devices, it has Bluetooth v2.1 and USB v2.0. The device promises 7 hours talk time and up to 792 hours of stand by time.

C3 comes in hue variants including Slate Gray, Golden White, and Hot Pink. The Symbian –based mobile phone is now available in the UK and Indonesia at a price of roughly about €90. No words yet on when it will be released in other regions.

Nokia C6 Cell Phone – QWERTY Keypad Handset

The Nokia C6 cell phone runs the Symbian 60 OS and has a 3.2-inch touchscreen along with the physical slide-out QWERTY keypad. The N97 Mini-esque is said to bring the consumers’ the best of messaging experience as well as instant access to their contacts and communications.

C6 features a customizable homescreen allowing direct access to your latest e-mails and to your well-loved social networking sites like Facebook. Mobile users also have support for up to 10 e-mail accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Windows Live Hotmail and Ovi Mail with its Nokia Messaging on board.

Colors for the C6 cell phone comes in black and white schemes.   The handset is expected to be available on the second quarter of 2010 at an estimated price of €220.

HTC Mondrian Windows Phone 7

HTC Mondrian Windows Phone 7 w/ 1.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processorHere is the photo of the recently rumored upcoming Windows Phone 7 handset discovered over at xda-developers through a leaked Windows 7 ROM .cab file.   Dubbed as the HTC Mondrian.  This phone could be the HTC  Diamond 3 or the HTC HD3.  If the rumor is true, the device will feature a 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen display with 480 x 800 pixels and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked @ 1.3 Ghz  (QSD8650A or B) which also supports both CDMA and GSM 3G.  (Click on the photo to enlarge)

Other specs of HTC Mondrian includes 5 megapixel HD-Capable  camera,  Wi-Fi, HSDPA, HSUPA, GPS w/ A-GPS support, Bluetooth 2.1. The device is also packing digital compass and FM radio.  Specs & price about this upcoming phone is not yet official but i think it should be revealed by Q3 this year.   Should this device be as it says?  We’ll keep you updated about this handset.

  3. Right click on the newly clipped song and choose “Convert Selection to AAC” or go to Edit –> Preferences –> Import Settings.  Be sure to set the “AAC Encoder settings”.
  4. Now, locate your song from your iTunes music folder and select the created 30 second AAC version.  You can simply drag it to your desktop or Copy and paste the song using your shortcut keys.  Go back to iTunes after the song is on your desktop. Delete the clipped version from your iTunes library.
  5. Right click on the song from your desktop and choose “Properties”. Change the extension name from .m4a to .m4r .
  6. Double click on the file so you can add it to your iTunes library after changing the extension name.  With your iPhone connected to your PC, now you can sync your ringtones.

How to Check E-mail on the iPhone

Yes, you can do it just like in your iPhone.  The iPhone has a function to send and receive email besides the traditional text messaging.  The iPhone is compatible with an array of e-mail programs that we typically use and to most industry-standard IMAP or POP3 Email. You can do so by setting-up your e-mail account so you can sync your PC to your iPhone or you can also configure a new email account which you can use exclusively with your phone or your iPod touch.

How to Set Up a New Account to Check E-mail on the iPhone

  1. Tap the MAIL option on the iPhone.  The Mail button has the envelope icon.
  2. Choose the type of email address you want to add. You will be provided with a list of service providers.  You can take a look at your user manual to find out who provides E-mail services to the iPhone at the moment.
  3. Fill in the account information which includes your name, the Email address that you want and your password.
  4. Tap the server type if you are prompted for this information. Contact your service provider if you don’t know the server type asked.

Checking and Reading Your Email on Your iPhone

  1. Tap the word MAIL to go the the E-mail function of the iPhone.  The Mail icon will show you the number of unread messages or new mail messages.
  2. Choose a specific mailbox to see the messages.   A blue dot is present next to any unread Email.
  3. To read a message, tap each email message.  Then tap ↓ and ↑ to move to previous and next messages.
  4. To delete an E-mail, tap it open.  Then, tap on the trash can icon after opening the message.  You can also swipe your finger on the message and touch the DELETE command button that appears.
  5. To check for an incoming email, touch the REFRESH button.
  6. To open an attached file, downloading them to the iPhone.  Tapping downloads the attachment and opens it as long as it is an approved format file.  The iPhone supports an array of file types, though not all.
  7. To move E-mail to folders to organize your inbox better, just open a specific  email, tap the folder icon and choose the mailbox where you want the message to be stored.
  8. To turn Push ON/ off, go to Settings, then choose “Mail, Contacts, and Calendars”, select Fetch New Data, then turn Push on or off. The Push On/Off function enables or disables new incoming messages appearing in iPhone Mail the moment you receive them.

The specs might resemble the Nexus One, but the Acer Liquid Stream Android phone is certainly a little thinner to the Nexus One but heavier than the latter. The Acer Liquid Stream will run the Android 2.1 OS, but mobile users have the options to upgrade it to Froyo. The makers of the handset also added the company’s own user interface which is the Touch 3D version 4.0.

The Acer Liquid Stream cell phone is expected to hit the market probably sometime in October of 2010.  Sadly though, there are no exact details yet about the price of the handset. But don’t worry for we’ll keep you posted about this new device.

Samsung W960 Mobile Phone with 3D Display

Yeah, what you’ve seen and heard is right! Samsung, the second largest mobile phone manufacturer-behind Nokia, is ready to roll out a new handset that will captivate a lot of mobile goers.  The company boasts its mobile Super AMOLED display, but now they’re making it bigger as they launched the 3D AMOLED Samsung W960 Mobile Phone. A-ha! It has 3D.  Thanks to Avatar, everyone’s going gaga over 3D.

But, the W960 3D AMOLED cellphone doesn’t need any 3D glasses for 3D visualization.  The device offers a shortcut key which is present whether you want to switch on/off the 3D display.  Samsung’s W960 cellphone with 3D display is packed with 3.2-inch (240 x 400p resolution) with capacitive touchscreen.  It runs on the company’s own TouchWiz 2.0 operating system.  It features a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash integrated on it.  W960 also supports 3G network features with HSPA.  It also has a DMB TTV tuner.

Other specs of the handset include a Bluetooth port, USB connectivity, a microSD card slot, an electronic dictionary, document viewer, and currency converter.  The  W960 only  weighs 119 grams.

Sadly though, this CDMA handset will only be made available in the South Korean market via all the operators KT, SKT, and LGT.  The device is anticipated to launch Q2 this year. No words yet about the price neither the phone’s availability outside the Korean market.

Looks like the people outside South Korea will just have to feast their eyes on the above photo of this much anticipated Samsung’s W960 Handset with 3D display.

Samsung S8500 Wave Smart Phone

Samsung’s booth during the Mobile World Congress 2010 held in Barcelona has wowed the public with the magnificent introduction of the Samsung Wave Smartphone.   It is Samsung’s first mobile phone under the company’s Bada (meaning “ocean” in Korean) operating system with its super AMOLED display.  It was really one remarkable event as the company was able to display different application software for the new Samsung S8500 Wave Smartphone.  The handset has a large touchscreen, extremely slim making it definitely an eye-catcher among mobile aficionados.

Highlighting the features of the S8500 Slim Wave Smart phone is its super-bright 3.3-inch AMOLED screen with 800×480 pixel resolution making the screen truly come alive. It also packs a 1 GHz CPU which was rumored to be amore energized version of the chip used in iPhone.

As for the other specs of the new slim handset, it support for DivX and Flash, and 720p high definition video for multimedia. Mobile users also have an option of 2GB or 8GB internal memory storage and a microSD memory card slot which supports up to 32GB.
