Lenovo IdeaPad B570 and B470 Notebooks Outed

Announced at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show was Lenovo’s entry level notebooks under the B series which are named as the IdeaPad B570 and B470. The machines are dubbed to be perfect if you are looking for affordable laptops for home use.  Both the Lenovo IdeaPad B570 and B470

notebooks offers specs and features including a choice of up to 2nd generation Intel Core i5 processor tagging along the Intel Technology 2.0.  The CPUs come with the Sandy Bridge graphics.  Moreover, the laptops are offered in a choice of 15.6- and 14-inch LCD displays and HDMI connectivity.  It sports the RapidBoot technology for Windos 7 thus delivering faster start-up and shutdown.  The machines are crafted in a brushed-metal effect exterior.

More on its features, the Lenovo IdeaPad B570 and B470 laptops pack Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and eSATA as well as a DVD burner. Asus Prepares Five Sandy Bridge Notebooks

HP has already started shipping the company’s Intel Sandy Bridge CPU – based notebook. However, would the guys from Asus want to be left out? Naah, as reports state it that the company is preparing to unleash five Sandy Bridge notebooks on their pipeline. First on the line up is the G73SW gaming machine which, of course, is suited for gaming professionals. This guy boasts off specs and features including an Intel Core i7 processor along  with 8GB of DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 460M graphics card. This gaming notebook will also have dual-storage bays, full 1080p HD resolution, and USB 3.0 for connectivity.  This 17.3-inch device has 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and will start selling at a price tag of $2500.

It is codenamed as the G53SW which will be packing the same high-end specs and features. However, this will come in a 15.6-inch LCD display as well as an option for a 6GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 640GB of hard disk drive, and a DVD burner.

As for the other laptops unveiled, we have them fall under the N53SV and N73SV series. These series will pack the GeForce GT540M chipset as well as a 2GHz CPU. These less gaming notebooks will come in your set of choice of displays like a 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch LCD. Pricing will start at $1,200 and wait for them as they’ll be having their release date beginning January.

Starting off is that the Digital Storm xm15 gaming notebook will be utilizing the NVIDIA’s Optimus Hybrid Technology alongside a 1GB GT 425M video card that will allow switching between two graphic processors automatically. Therefore the laptop promises a no interruption in its performance. Moreover, Digital Storm representative Rajeev Kuruppu mentioned that the battery life of this new gaming device can be extended significantly by increasing or decreasing the performance depending on the user activity.

Back in September, we’ve heard Samsung unveiled the SF and NF series as addition to their pipeline.  And now, Samsung which is among the global brand names to make it big in the technology sector have finally launched the company’s series of portable computing markets in the Indian market.  it is said that these machines are packed to perform utmost performance, lightweight, and improved battery life.  With that said, let’s take a look at what these laptop PCs boast of.

Apparently, the Samsung NF210 netbook is actually Samsung‘s first netbook to be power driven by an Intel Atom dual core CPU.  Moreover, the netbook features Fast Start which allows users to start up the machine faster than other devices.  The Samsung NF210 netbook is anticipated to ship in India at a price of Rs. 22,900.

As for the Samsung SF510 notebook, the laptop features a spill-proof keyboard as well as the Fast Boot technology and the proprietary’s AllShare software for sharing media.  The notebook is expected to be available at a price of Rs. 55,490.

ASUS U36 Ultraportable Laptop Announced

Just recently, ASUS has revealed another ultraportable laptop termed as the U36 with the entire details not fully disclosed yet.  However, it promised that the given specs and features are good enough to catch the interest of the laptop enthusiasts.

And the long wait is over, as the guys from Engadget have seen the full specs and features of the ASUS Ultraportable U36 laptop.  According to them, the awaited notebook offers hardware specs including an Intel Core i5-460M processor.  A NVIDIA GeForce 310 graphics card with 1GB memory is also included. Moreover, it has 2GB of RAM and a 500GB of hard disk drive for storage capacity.  The 13.3-inch LED-backlit screen notebook measures in at only 19mm thick and weighs in at about 1.66 kilograms. The gadget is encased in a 0.75-inch magnesium alloy.  The machine will be powered by the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.  Battery-wise, the U36 comes with a four cell battery and promises up to ten hours of battery life.  Other goodies packed on the device include HDMI output and USB 3.0 ports.

Available in black and silver variants, the ASUS ultraportable U36 laptop is expected to have its release date in three weeks time and it will be available at a price of $999.  Some folks, however, are already taking pre-orders for the machine now.

Users are also offered other goodies that they can catch a sight of including HDMI output, VGA, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, multi-card reader, USB 2.0 ports, and a 1.3 megapixel web camera.  The machine is driven by the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

Dell Inspiron Duo Hybrid Netbook Debuting Early Next Week

We’ve already heard about the Dell Inspiron Duo Hybrid netbook back in September, and if  we’re going to believe the news that have been speculating these days, this one of the most unique looking and upcoming gadget could have its release date by next week and that is according to CNET’s sources.

In case you’ve forgotten, we’ll give you a recall of the Dell Inspiron Duo Hybrid netbook’s specs and features.  First is that the mini-laptop can actually be converted from a netbook to a tablet-looking gadget.  The display can be swiveled into a full 360 degrees boasting a netbook.  Once you close the lid, tada! It’s none other than a tablet.  Cool, eh?

The actual hardware specs aren’t clear until now, except for the fact that this guy which was shown during the IDF [Intel Developer Forum] 2010 gets a 10-inch display.  It is also powered by a dual – core Intel Atom processor, and will run the Windows 7 Premium operating system.  Moreover, the company has also boasted some goodies for the mini – laptop including a docking station with stereo speakers.
