Right after the unveiling of the hot little guy dubbed as the Coolpix P7000, well Nikon just wouldn’t allow us to miss capturing our moments that can be gone in an instant. And what other option do we have? It’s the Nikon Coolpix S8100 digital camera. Apparently, this is a respectable update of the S8000.
The Nikon Coolpix S8100 digicam offers a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor which provides consumers with enhanced image quality under low-lighting conditions. Also, it has a 10x zoom capable of capturing fast moving objects in stills. Of course, the digital camera also gets a full HD 1080p for movies.
Other specs and features of the Coolpix S8100 are 3-inch LCD viewer with antiglare and a wide viewing angle. The camera also has support for capture of up to five resolution frames in 10 frames per second. Moreover, it is capable of recording fast and continuously up to 120 frames per second using the Subject Tracking technology feature. The tiny cam also has support for digital cards where you can store your images. Connectivity wise, it gets an HDMI output. As for the power, the S8100 has an EL12 Li-Ion rechargeable battery which promises up to 220 shots on a single charge. Other detailed specifications weren’t disclosed though.
The Nikon Coolpix S8100 will have its release date by the end of the month at a price of $299. On the otherhand, along with the release of the S8100 is the S80 that is actually an update to the S70 which will hit in the fall at a price of $329.
