Here’s another newly announced compact camcorders. From Toshiba, its the Camileo SX900 and Camileo SX500 Full HD camcorders.   Both are capable of recording 1920 x 1080p video at 30 frames per second or 1080i video at 60 frames per second.

Specs of Camileo SX900 and SX500 Camcorders include 2.7 inch 230k dot swivel LCD, HDMI connection, facial recognition, image stabilization, color tracking ,a memory card slot with up to 64GB of capacities (SD/SDHC/SDXC), 1cm macro function.

So what’s the difference between SX500 and SX900 ?

At first glimpse on the photos, we can see that both of the compact Full HD camcorders have identical design. But if we can just look closely, the Camileo SX900 is slimmer compare to Camileo SX500.  Other differences:

  • 9x optical zoom
  • 3 lux sensitivity

while the Toshiba Camileo SX500 gets…

  • 10 megapixel CMOS sensor
  • 12x digital zoom
  • 5x optical zoom
  • 4 lux threshold sensitivity

SX500 and SX900 Full HD Camcorders will be available in July with the price tag of $309 and $387 respectively.
