It seems as though the pretty tough tussle of smartphones between the two South Korean based manufacturers, LG and Samsung, are getting exciting, huh. While Samsung has started its big launch of devices, here comes LG with the unveiling of the company’s LG Optimus 2X smartphone. The handset is actually dubbed as the world’s first and fastest dual-core mobile phone.
Looking similar to that of the LG Star, the LG Optimus 2X smartphone is powered by Tegra processor inside which runs at 1 GHz. Consumers will also be able to play 1080p movies without much sweat through the device’s HDMI output. More on the specs and features, the candybar handset offers a 4-inch touchscreen display as well as an 8GB of memory storage which can be enhanced up to 32GB memory card and a 1500 mAh battery. It also gets an 8-megapixel main camera alongside a 1.3-megapixel camera which can be used for video calling. The device will run the Android 2.2 operating system which can be later upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The LG Optimus 2X smartphone will be having its release date in Korea next month which will be then followed by shipping in other regions including Europe and other Asian countries. However, the company’s still mum regarding how much the price is upon release. Can hardly wait? Then why don’t you just tease your eyes as of the moment and take a look at some images on this another sizzling smartphone in the mobile era.
