Nokia has taken the wraps off a pretty mid-range mobile phone to its collection, and it’s the Nokia X2-01 mobile phone. The phone looks rather similar to the Nokia C3, but it’s obviously a basic handset compared to the former. What makes it even more confusing is its name since the company has already the Nokia X2. So what does this new device has to offer us since we don’t expect it to be the one of the smartphones heading the mobile market? Let’s see.
The Nokia X2-01 mobile phone packs specs and features including a 2.44-inch landscape screen display which is apparently not a touchscreen phone. It gets a 42MB onboard memory. Moreover, the device has a quad-band GSM/EDGE radio, a 3 megapixel camera, as well as the common features found in a mobile phone such as Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a support for microSD slot. The candybar form factor, Nokia X2-01 is driven by the S40 operating system. Other goodies of this new-entry cellphone are one click access to media player, music, FM radio, and Nokia’s Ovi music service. Sadly though, the phone is Wi-Fi and 3G less.
The release date of the Nokia X2-01 mobile phone is yet unknown, but it is anticipated to hit the market later this quarter. As for the price, yes, since it comes with quite indecent specs, the handset comes in a price that is within your means – $110. For parents who are planning to buy their teeners a mobile phone, this will surely suit your young ones. Meanwhile, let’s take a look at some promotional video of the upcoming device.
