Putting up another Galaxy S phone on sale is the Verizon Wireless with the Samsung Fascinate phone. Shortly after Sprint has had the release date of the Epic, here comes Fascinate on Verizon with specs and features the same just like any other Galaxy S phones including a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and the proprietary Samsung TouchWiz software all of which is powered by Android 2.1 which promises to be updated to Android 2.2 OS in the future.
The Samsung Fascinates also has a Swype technology in its keyboard and will come pre-equipped with Amazon’s Kindle to download apps like e-book. The US carrier also said that the handset will be sold with a charging cradle which can be used both as a USB adapter and a speakerphone when making hands-free calls. There is also a car dock which supports the mobile phone’s GPS navigation alongside a backup cattery charging which allows end users to charge their device and a spare battery at the same time.
Although the detailed specifications of the device hasn’t been posted yet, it is said that the Samsung Fascinate phone will come with a 5-MP camera, and16GB memory onboard and a microSD card slot which supports expansion of up to 32GB.
The Samsung Fascinate goes on sale online on Wednesday (that’s today!) at a price of $199 after rebate. The handset will be then available on Verizon stores on Thursday.
