Yeah, what you’ve seen and heard is right! Samsung, the second largest mobile phone manufacturer-behind Nokia, is ready to roll out a new handset that will captivate a lot of mobile goers.  The company boasts its mobile Super AMOLED display, but now they’re making it bigger as they launched the 3D AMOLED Samsung W960 Mobile Phone. A-ha! It has 3D.  Thanks to Avatar, everyone’s going gaga over 3D.

But, the W960 3D AMOLED cellphone doesn’t need any 3D glasses for 3D visualization.  The device offers a shortcut key which is present whether you want to switch on/off the 3D display.  Samsung’s W960 cellphone with 3D display is packed with 3.2-inch (240 x 400p resolution) with capacitive touchscreen.  It runs on the company’s own TouchWiz 2.0 operating system.  It features a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash integrated on it.  W960 also supports 3G network features with HSPA.  It also has a DMB TTV tuner.

Other specs of the handset include a Bluetooth port, USB connectivity, a microSD card slot, an electronic dictionary, document viewer, and currency converter.  The  W960 only  weighs 119 grams.

Sadly though, this CDMA handset will only be made available in the South Korean market via all the operators KT, SKT, and LGT.  The device is anticipated to launch Q2 this year. No words yet about the price neither the phone’s availability outside the Korean market.

Looks like the people outside South Korea will just have to feast their eyes on the above photo of this much anticipated Samsung’s W960 Handset with 3D display.
