Sanyo ZioDuring the CTIA SF, wireless carrier Sprint has announced three devices.  One of them is the Sanyo ZIO smartphone by Kyocera.  Sprint is actually the second carrier to pick-up the device after Cricket and the Sanyo Zio smartphone will be the first device to feature the Sprint ID.

The Sanyo Zio smartphone is only 0.5 inches thick and weighs in at 3.7 ounces making it one of the lightest Android-based devices in the market. The smartphone offers specs and features including a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 600 MHz Qualcomm processor; 512MB ROM/ 256MB RAM, 3.2 megapixel camera, and is powered by the Android 2.1 operating system. The Zio also packs a 2GB microSD card slot which can be further enhanced alongside 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR. Users can enjoy a couple of Google applications including Gmail on the device, too. The device has a 1130 mAh battery that will give you 4.6 hours of continuous talk time. As for the Sprint ID feature, this will allow consumers to customize and personalize their device more. The Sprint ID packs will actually allow you to put particular theme on a single homescreen.

The handset was released 10th of October.  Experience a price-friendly device at a price of $99 with a two-year contract in a black and silver trim.
