How to Make 3D Glasses for Movies :

What you need:

  • Poster board or fairly thick paper
  • Pens/ Pencils
  • Pair of scissors
  • Colored cellophane: red, blue, and green
  • Glue
  • Tape

  1. Draw the frames of your glasses on a piece of paper.  Just like regular glasses, draw the front and the side arm pieces which you will hook on your ears.
  2. On a poster board or a thick of paper, trace your designs and cut each of them out. Cut the eye holes, too. Ensure that the frames will fit the face of the person using them. Now, tape the side arm pieces to the front piece.
  3. For the eye holes, you’ll need two colors, read and cyan.  However, cyan is a little hard to find. That’s why we’ll have a combination of green and blue cellophane sheet. Since you’re making 2 layers for the cyan, you might as well double the layer for your red.  Take note: the acetates should be larger than the actual eye holes.
  4. Tape the red piece of cellophane sheet on the right eye and the cyan over the left eye.
  5. Put additional accents on your frames. Decorate them with beads, or stickers to make them look even better.

Ta-da! How to make 3D glasses for movies are pretty simple, right?  Now, you or your kids will be the envy of others because of your homemade 3D glasses.
