Lenovo’s Ideapad S12 Netbook Gets NVIDIA ION Chipset
Lenovo’s new netbook – Ideapad S12 is the company’s first 12.1 ” netbook and is also the world’s first netbook to have NVIDIA Ion chipset. With the integration of this ION chipset, you can play 1080p HD videos, something that can’t be done on traditional netbooks because they can’t handle multimedia at 720p or higher nor can run the latest 3D games.

S12 specs include an Intel Atom N270 CPU @ 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 memory, 160/250/320GB HDD options, 1.3 MP webcam, Ethernet jack, three USB 2.0 sockets, WiFi 802.11 b/g, and bluetooth.

A 3-cell and 6-cell battery that can last up to 6 hours will also be included out of the box. When it comes to keyboard, It would be like typing on any standard 15.4 inch notebook because Lenovo S12 made sure to bless this machine with a 100% full size keyboard. S12 will be offered in both black and white with a bit of added texture to the back cover.
This netbook is expected to be out by next month with price at $449.
