Shown at the CeBit 2010 in Germany, the Taiwan-based company, MicroStar International, comes with its latest offering – the MSI FX400 multimedia notebook. Though the exact model of this upcoming laptop has not been revealed yet, the company was still good enough to share some of the detailed specs and features of the multimedia laptop.
The 14-inch MSI FX400 boasts an Intel Core i5 processor, and the HM55 chipset. Onboard is a DDR3 RAM which is paired with NVIDIA GeForce GT 325M graphics card with 1GB display memory. The laptop also got the company’s GPU Boost technology which is capable of switching the dedicated processor and the integrated graphics automatically. The hard disk drives vary from 250GB up to 500GB depending on the preference.
As for the rest of the specs, the MSI FX400 comes in a 1366×768 pixel resolution panel, and has a dual-layer DVD writer together with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera, HDMI output, three USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, and audio jacks. The laptop weighs nearly about 4.9 pounds. Battery-wise, it is powered by a six-cell battery.
More on the features, this mobile electronic has a THX smart surround sound speakers and a Cinema Pro technology to maximize the consumers’ multimedia experience. Finally, there is the Turbo Drive Engine feature to instantly accelerate the performance of the system with one touch on the Turbo (P1) hotkey. This technology allows the notebook to process high load apps without lags.
We might have to wait for a while as MSI has not disclosed any details in terms of its release date and price for the MSI FX400.
