In April we have written a post about the Toshiba Satellite A660 Multimedia Notebook that is set to be available this June and it seems like the Toshiba is continuing to expand their Satellite series as the company has just outed the new Toshiba Satellite C600 and L600 to their laptop collections. The notebooks are dubbed as “budget notebooks” because they are designed to meet the expectations of consumers who are budget conscious.
Toshiba Satellite C600 Series
Kicking off with the first budget notebook is the C600. As Toshiba says it, the Satellite C600 series gives PC consumers a new level of option when choosing for a basic laptop to buy. The notebook is power-driven by either an Intel or AMD processor. The Satellite C600 series ships 14-inch (C645 model) and 15.6-inch (C655 model) HD TruBrite widescreen display which features 16:9 contrast ratios at 720 pixel resolution. The HD display suits your digital entertainment needs. As for the other specs, PC users can opt between a 320 or 250GB hard disk drive, and a fast DDR3 RAM. Adding up to its Wi-Fi, the notebook also got DVD Supermulti drives and multitouch-touchpads. This laptop is encased in a Black Trax textured finish resisting fingerprints. The notebook is designed not just for the budget conscious, but as well as the environmentally conscious. Why? Because the series features mercury-free and power-efficient LED backlit display.
Toshiba Satellite L600 Series
As for the L series, it costs more than the C series, but of course users can expect far more from the Toshiba Satellite L600 Series. You can choose from four models of the Satellite L Series including – L635 (13 inches), L645 (14 inches), L655 (15.6 inches), and L675 (17.3 inches).
Specs-wise, you can opt for a configuration for the processors. You can choose if you want an Intel Core i3/i5 with TurboBoost, AMD Turion II dual-core, AMD Athlon II dual-core, and AMD Phenom II triple/quad-core CPUs. The Satellite L600 also sports the TruBrite HD display together with a webcam, Wi-Fi, RAM of up to 4GB, a choice of hard disk drive ranging from 250GB to 500GB, and DVD Drive.
Adding up to the notebook’s beauty are the different glossy finish such as white, grey, brown, and black.
The Toshiba Satellite C600 and L600 Series budget notebooks will hit the market on June 20th. The Satellite L series which are the L675, L655, L645, and L635 come at a price of $599.99, $569.99, $515.99, and $619.99 respectively. While The Satellite C series’ price starts at $499.99.
