Thanko has just released their new USB wireless Web Camera.   This USB wireless Web camera can be used up to a maximum distance of 10 meters.  The webcam has a transmitter and tiny antenna that send out the 2.4 GHz signal, it also has a built-in battery that can last up to 5 hours.  The 2.4 Ghz signal is then received by a USB wireless receiver that can be plugged to your desktop PC or laptop.  The output video has 320 x240 pixels QGVA with speed of 15 frames per second.

Thanko USB Wireless Camera is more convenient to use compare to other common USB webcam that uses wires because you can take it anywhere inside your home.  Imagine taking it anywhere inside your home while walking and recording your video, you don’t have to bring your laptop with you.  How about watching your baby on your laptop while you are cooking in the kitchen? You can also set up the Camera Transmitter outside of your house to spy on your neighbor or to see the the person knocking on your door. Just make sure that the distance of the Camera trasmitter and USB Receiver is not more than 10 meters.

The selling price of Thanko USB Wireless Webcam is around $88.
