How to Detect Keyloggers in Your Computer

The keylogger is a surveillance software which is known to be dangerous, it has the ability to steal all personal information that you type in your PC.  It has the ability to record every single keystroke that you enter in your PC. Meaning to say, social security numbers, credit card numbers, bank account numbers and passwords as well might be stolen and the sad thing is, you’re not even aware about it.

Keyloggers are scary and said to be one of the biggest security threats today. But how do they get into your PC?  This happens when you download an infected application like software applications, movies or music, etc. To get rid of this, you must be alert and be sure not to download infected files.

Another way is, they can be installed manually in your PC without your knowing. Awareness is the key.  You need to know how to detect keyloggers in your computer, if you successfully do this, you will have the chance to remove them in your PC.

They are usually located in the system files.  First is for you to download a software, an anti spyware that can detect key log and remove it as well. It may be hard for you if you do this manually, it will take much of your time and you may risk your system as well. Try to visit some sites for more information on how you can detect and remove keylogger. Remember, you will need a special program in detecting keystroke logging software. You can also try to find it through the Security Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del). This displays information about the processes that are currently running in your computer and you will be notified if they are dangerous or not.  This gives you an idea if they’re harmful or not.  If you managed to find them, click ‘Process’ and hit “End Button’. Delete the keylogger and reboot your PC.  After doing this, run an anti- virus and scan the entire computer. There are a lot of anti –virus scanners for free.  If everything went well in the anti-virus result and you may say that you are safe.
