And just like that, another tablet PC is going to hit the slate market in the coming months which is yet another competitor to the reigning tablet PC which is the iPad.  Meet the new BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet PC which was unveiled at the annual BlackBerry Developer Conference in San Francisco, California two days ago.  The device is slated to have its release date in the early 2011.

The Blackberry PlayBook Tablet PC will be utilizing the newest operating system codenamed as BlackBerry Tablet OS. The OS is created by QNX which is a recent possession of RIM. Also, the new OS offers support for POSIX and OpenGL as well as web standards like HTML5.

The tablet PC weighs just less than a pound and measures in at less than half an inch. Below is the quick rundown of its specs and features.

The BalckBerry PlayBook Tablet PC is thus dubbed as the first multiprocessing and multitasking professional tablet PC.  Moreover, RIM intends to allow end users to have an option between 3G/ $G in the future models.  There is still no words about the pricing yet.  So, what do you think about this one, eh?
