We’ve said hello to the MSI Windpad 100 tablet PC in May during the press conference in Computex. And recently, news have started to spread claiming that this yet another iPad competitor will have its release date by January of February of 2011.  If that happens to be true, then the news does sound really good. However, for those who have missed what this tablet PC has to offer us, here is a quick glance of the MSI Windpad 100 tablet PC’s specs and features.

Inside the slate is an Intel Atom Z530 processor which is clocked at 1.66GHz. There is also a 2GB of DDR3 RAM as well as 32GB of solid state disk. The 10-inch tablet PC with a resolution of 1024 x 600p is powered by the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.  It will also come with the company’s custom user interface. Other goodies of this guy here include an accelerometer, SD card slot, a pair of USB ports, Wi-Fi and 3G for connectivity, and a mini HDMI output.  Battery-wise, it is expected to promise approximately 8 hours of use upon single charge.

The MSI Windpad 100 tablet PC is anticipated to ship at a price of $499. Consumers who can hardly wait for this upcoming device can catch a few minutes of hands-on clip of the device.
