Asus Prepares Five Sandy Bridge Notebooks

HP has already started shipping the company’s Intel Sandy Bridge CPU – based notebook. However, would the guys from Asus want to be left out? Naah, as reports state it that the company is preparing to unleash five Sandy Bridge notebooks on their pipeline. First on the line up is the G73SW gaming machine which, of course, is suited for gaming professionals. This guy boasts off specs and features including an Intel Core i7 processor along with 8GB of DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 460M graphics card. This gaming notebook will also have dual-storage bays, full 1080p HD resolution, and USB 3.0 for connectivity. This 17.3-inch device has 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and will start selling at a price tag of $2500.

Another laptop under the Asus five Sandy Bridge notebooks is a smaller model of the above mentioned. It is codenamed as the G53SW which will be packing the same high-end specs and features. However, this will come in a 15.6-inch LCD display as well as an option for a 6GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 640GB of hard disk drive, and a DVD burner.

As for the other laptops unveiled, we have them fall under the N53SV and N73SV series. These series will pack the GeForce GT540M chipset as well as a 2GHz CPU. These less gaming notebooks will come in your set of choice of displays like a 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch LCD. Pricing will start at $1,200 and wait for them as they’ll be having their release date beginning January.

ASUS U36 Ultraportable Laptop Announced

Just recently, ASUS has revealed another ultraportable laptop termed as the U36 with the entire details not fully disclosed yet. However, it promised that the given specs and features are good enough to catch the interest of the laptop enthusiasts.

And the long wait is over, as the guys from Engadget have seen the full specs and features of the ASUS Ultraportable U36 laptop. According to them, the awaited notebook offers hardware specs including an Intel Core i5-460M processor. A NVIDIA GeForce 310 graphics card with 1GB memory is also included. Moreover, it has 2GB of RAM and a 500GB of hard disk drive for storage capacity. The 13.3-inch LED-backlit screen notebook measures in at only 19mm thick and weighs in at about 1.66 kilograms. The gadget is encased in a 0.75-inch magnesium alloy. The machine will be powered by the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. Battery-wise, the U36 comes with a four cell battery and promises up to ten hours of battery life. Other goodies packed on the device include HDMI output and USB 3.0 ports.

Available in black and silver variants, the ASUS ultraportable U36 laptop is expected to have its release date in three weeks time and it will be available at a price of $999. Some folks, however, are already taking pre-orders for the machine now.

Asus Eee PC 1015PW Netbook for Ladies

The netbook boasts pretty decent specs and features as well as comes in a distinctive purple color. Asus B Series Notebooks Boast Boston-Power Sonata Batteries

Asus, the Taiwan-centered manufacturer of laptop computers, is launching several notebooks under the Asus B series with “B” standing for business. The Asus B Series notebooks are yet another laptop line joining some of the HP notebooks in featuring the Boston-power’s Sonata batteries. Remember Sonata batteries have been very popular as they’re expected to triple the battery life of notebook batteries compared to the conventional laptop batteries? That’s what the series has to offer the consumers.

Under the Asus B series notebooks are the models B43 and B53 which will be available in 14.1 or 15.6-inch LCD screen. The models are also available for configurations with the following specs and features:

Intel Core i5-520M or Core i7-620M processors
Intel GMA HD for B53 only or ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 GPU
2GB or 4GB of DDR3 RAM
320GB hard disk drive

As for the rest of the specs, the Asus B series notebooks will come packing with integrated DVD drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ and Bluetooth for connectivity, a 2 megapixel web camera, and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system.

The B53 is expected to be landing anytime soon at a price of $1100 while we still have to wait for B43 to be priced and paired with a release date.

ASUS Lamborghini VX6 Netbook

There’s a new hot mini-laptop in the circulation and it bears the name ASUS Lamborghini VX6 Netbook. This sports car branded mini-notebook will be released to compete with the Acer Ferrari One notebook.

This mini-laptop has an outstanding and stylish appearance and you can see the Lamborghini logo on its white lid. The specific specs include 12.1-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is powered by 1.83GHz frequency dual core Intel Atom D525 processor which is normally a feature of desktop computers rather than laptops. This mini-notebook also has DDR3 RAM and it runs on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Lamborghini VX6 has a Bang and Olufsen ICE power sound system, combined with SRS Premium Sound. Moreover, it has NVIDIA ION 2 graphics for HD playback and has its own pair of USB 3.0 connectors. Lamborghini VX6 mini-laptop will be available in the market by September but the price is not yet revealed although they say that is about $699. It’s pretty expensive but the features are really impressive compared to other mini-notebooks.

The company is also introducing other Lamborghini Netbook with the name VX7. It will have Core i3, i5, or i7 and a display of 15.6 with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has up to 16GB of RAM. Wait for their availability in the market and grab yours.

The Asus Eee PC 1201T Netbook

ASUS, the company known as one of the most distinguished in the digital zone, has recently announced a new netbook to their PC range: The Asus Eee PC 1201T.

Designed for consumers who wanted to stay connected anytime and anywhere, this netbook features a convenient 12.1-inch display w/ 1366×768 pixel resolution allowing a full support of high-definition video experience. It is powered by AMD at 1.6GHz single core processor. It has a hard drive of 160 gigabyte. The Asus Eee PC 1201T’s memory RAM comes with 2-gigabyte of DDRII. The graphics card is power-driven by an ATI Radeon HD 3200.

The mini-notebook also comes in a 6-cell Li-ion battery that guarantees up to 6 hours of usage. However, the others who have tried this netbook said that the battery life is not as impressive as other netbooks. Heres another new model of Eee PC netbook from Asus, the Asus Eee PC 1001PX. This netbook has similar design to other latest netbook out there or can be considered as an update to the previous Asus Eee PC 1001P Netbook model. What i like about this netbook is its matte screen allowing to use it even outdoors under bright light conditions. Another thing is its casing material made of Carbon Fiber.

Asus Eee PC 1001PX mini laptop comes in two models: 1001PX-WHI006S and 1001PX-BLK003X , specs of these netbooks include 10.1 inch wide LED backlit antiglare display with resolution of 1024×600 pixel, powered by 1.66GHz Intel N450 processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 0.3 Megapixel camera, 3 x USB ports, Wi-Fi, 10/100 Ethernet port, memory card reader, mic & headphone jack, VGA output.

Differences are when it comes to Operating system, storage, and battery. Another netbook from Asus is about to release this coming January 6. 2009 . The Asus Eee Pc 1001P netbook – Now available at Amazon Germany as preorder item. No further information about upcoming netbook but it seems
that the design of Asus Eee Pc 1001P is identical to its predecessors, i think with slight variation on the 1005 series. Eee PC 1001P will feature the latest and the faster processor of intel – the Atom N450 processor or also known as the Atom Pine Trail processor. It will come with 10.1″ LCD screen. ASUS Eee PC 1101HGo Netbook with added 3G

At Computex 2009, Asus presented an 11.6 ” Eee PC 1101HGo netbook. This is the newest addition to the Seashell line and basically the 3G version of the Eee PC 1101HA having the same specifications of this netbook.
