The new Dell Vostro V130 ultraportable business notebook brings us a super slim and light laptop which mobile consumers can make use of while working on-the-go. The machine is therefore dubbed as the first ultra thin notebook to use Intel’s Hyperbaric Cooling thus making it perform at its utmost while keeping it cool by drawing the air into the notebook which is channeled to the CPU and other key components and then allowing the hot air to be expelled from the notebook through the internal fan.

Moreover, the V130 measures in at only 0.65-inch and the design is made from a combination of aluminum for the chassis, zinc hinges, and a magnesium alloy palm rest. As for the specs and features, the laptop PC brings us an Intel Core i3 or i5 ultra low voltage processor choices. There is also an option between Ubuntu Linux and Windows 7 for the operating system. The 13.3-inch at 1366 x 768 pixel resolution Dell Vostro V130 ultraportable business notebook also comes packing with up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 500 GB hard disk drive storage capacity. A 2 megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, SD card, and multi-card reader are among the other goodies upon purchase. However, there isn’t any detail as to what battery should the user expect as well as how long the battery will last.

The Dell Vostro V130 ultraportable business laptop is already available worldwide and interested consumers can get a laptop not just less in size, but as well as less dollar to pay as the retail price of this business notebook starts at $429. The machine is available in two shades – Lucerne Red and Aberdeen Silver.

Dell released its XPS M1710 gaming laptop. XPS M1710 sports an 2.16 Ghz Intel Core Duo Processor and also has the the latest nVidia Go 7900 GTX graphics card with 512MB of memory. It has a 17″ widescreen and comes in a choice of two colors, “formula red” or “metallic black”. The M1710 delivered a respectable 3 hours of battery life

Dell XPS M1710 Specifications :

Dell XPS M1710 (Red color lid)

Intel Core Duo T2600 (2.16 GHz)

2GB @ 667MHz – 2 DIMM Slots (2 x 1GB)

100GB capacity at a speed of 7200 RPM

NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX with 512MB DDR memory

WUXGA Truelife (1920 x 1200)

8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW/+R) with Dual-Layer

9-cell lithium ion recharegable battery

5-in-1 Memory Card Reader, DVI-D, VGA video output, S-Video, IEEE 1394 (Firewire), 6 USB 2.0, Express Card slot, Modem, Ethernet/LAN, Microphone in, Headphone out

Integrated Subwoofer

The downside to the entire package is the price. The base $3,400 is not for the faint of heart, and premium configurations will strain almost any budget. A big payoff is guaranteed, however, especially for gamers who want the best balance of performance and portability. There’s little to compete with this powerhouse.
