The portable computing market continues to experience an increasing trend with the continuous release of notebook and netbook PCs everywhere. Now though, Acer’s subsidiary and maker of premium notebook PC and desktop, Gateway, has outed another collection to their EC series in Japan – the Gateway EC19C-A52C/S notebook.
The newly addition laptop to the company’s terrain packs fairly high-end specs and features that notebook enthusiasts should be looking forward to including an 11.6-inch display at 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. The machine is also powered by an Intel Core i5-470UM dual core processor at 1.33GHz. Moreover, it comes with a 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 320GB hard disk drive for storage capacity.
The gadget also has support for Turbo Boost technology. The Gateway EC19C-A52C/S notebook measures in at 1.14 x 11.2 x 8 inches and weighs at about three pounds. Battery-wise, it is operated with a 6-cell battery that promises up to six hours of use via single charge. Users are also offered other goodies that they can catch a sight of including HDMI output, VGA, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, multi-card reader, USB 2.0 ports, and a 1.3 megapixel web camera. The machine is driven by the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.
If you are looking for an ultra-portable notebook without having to sacrifice its power, then the Gateway EC19C-A52C/S notebook might just be right for you. The notebook PC has already had its release date and is now officially available in Japan at a price of ¥65,000 or around $775.
