Portable tablets have been booming the PC markets already; still HP is here to remind us that the netbook isn’t forgotten yet. And with that, the company has rolled out another addition to the netbook industry – the HP Mini 1103. The mini-laptop is dubbed as the perfect travel companion and it is targeted towards small businesses and mobile users who need Windows apps while out travelling.
The HP Mini 1103 offers specs and features including a 10.1- inch LED backlit display at 1024 by 600 pixel resolution. The machine is powered by Intel Atom N455 running at 1.66 GHz or N475 at 1.8 GHz processors. The HP Mini 1103 netbook also features up to 2GB of RAM and consumers can also choose between 160GB or 320GB hard disk drives. It also gets an Intel GMA 3150 graphics card and an option for Integrated HP Mobile Broadband. In addition to the specs, the device features 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for connectivity. An integrated VGA webcam is also present for video chat. It also offers a 93 percent QWERTY keyboard and touchpad with two soft-touch buttons and scroll zone, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, and a media card reader. The netbook is really one portable device with its total weight of 2.78 pounds, but can fluctuate depending on your battery choice between a 3-cell and a 6-cell battery.
Finally, the Mini 1103 features HP’s QuickSync technology which allows users to synchronize files and the HP QuickWeb software. It will be pre-installed with the Windows 7 Starter, but SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 or FreeDOS can also be chosen depending on mobile user. One of the leading PC manufacturers, HP has added two new laptops to its collection which aimed specifically at end-users who are on a tight budget. The notebooks are thus named as HP G62m and Pavilion dv7t.
HP Pavilion dv7t Notebook
First up is the Pavilion dv7t which is considered to be more powerful and is a higher end than the other. This 17.3-inch laptop offers specs and features including a choice between a couple of processor such as Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7. The rig is also equipped with an up to 8GB of RAM. A capacity of 2TB hard disk drive is provided for storage space. There is also an ATI Radeon Mobility Graphics. Consumers can also opt for a solid state disk drive of 160GB. In addition to the hardware specs, the notebook also gets a Blu-ray drive, DVD, a webcam, and a 6-cell or 9-cell Li-Ion battery.
HP G62m Notebook
Next guy added to HP’s range of laptops is the G62m. The laptop PC offers a 15.6-inches panel and is powered by an Intel Celeron 900, T3500, or T3300 processor depending on the preference of the end-user. It gets a Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M and fast RAM of up to 4GB. Storage can be up to 500GB. Other specs and features include a DVD burner, webcam, multicard reader and a 6-cell battery.
These laptops by HP are already available for order. The Pavilion dv7t sells at a price of $799.99 while the G62m is available at $529.99. The prices are reasonable enough if you’re looking for a laptop that will give you the basics. What do you think?
Here is the new netbook from Hewlett-Packard, also aimed for business users, – its the new HP Mini 5103. This netbook is identical to HP Mini 5102. The specs netbook includes 10.1 inch Dislay and comes with a choice Intel Atom N455 (1.66 Ghz) or N475 (1.86 Ghz). It has the Intel GMA 3150 Graphics but the buyers also has an option if they want to boost the video using broadcom Cristal ND accelerator.
HP Mini 5103 Business netbook supports a faster DDR3 memory with clock speed of 1,333MHz. Also Comes with a choice of 320GB of HDD or 128GB SSD, optional touchscreen display and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.
Other features: 2 Megapixel Camera, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, VGA out, SD card reader, Wi-Fi B/G/N, 3xUSB ports.
HP Mini 5103 is powered by a 4 or 6-cell battery. The 6-cell can last up to 9.5 hours of use. For the price, the basic model with N455 processor starts at $565.

The 11.6 inch Brightview Display HP netbook has finally unveiled. The HP Mini 311 netbook features 1.66Ghx Intel Atom N270 CPU and NVIDIA ION graphics. That’s supposed to help the netbook render better graphics. HP Mini 311 Comes with genuine Windows XP Home at launch and with Windows 7 to follow.

The HP Pavillion DV2 is now available here in the philippines for some time now. With only slight advantage of a discrete graphics card, this ultrathin AMD NEO powered can be considered as competitor of Acer Timeline series.
There are two models, the DV2-1010AU – the one with with the integrated ATI Radeon X1250 graphics and the second one is the DV2-1003AX with 512MB discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 graphics .

The weight of the two HP laptops are as heavy as the Acer Timeline, and the optical drives are not built-in in the system. They come as External accessory.
This week HP Philippines formally launched 2 notebooks. The HP Mini 2140, HP Mini 1100 and the HP Mini Vivienne Tam Special Edition which i posted last week. Some of the notebooks mentioned though have been available in the market last year as early as December. The launching was really meant to give special focus on HP Mini Vivienne Tam Special Edition.
The two notebooks have identical specs and both powered by Intel Atom N270 processor. Only differs on case, the Mini 2140 which has aluminum body and will be available for retails of Php23, 950 while the Mini 1100 which is enclosed with black plastic body will be yours for the price of Php18,950.
The Vivienne Tam Special Edition is simply a painted Mini 1100 costs Php27, 950.
HP has just released today a new notebook – the HP Pavillion dv3t and is now available from HP with a starting price of $799. The latest member of dv3 series has 16:9 widescreen 13.3-inch LED-backlit display offering up to (1280×800) pixel resolution and powered by Core 2 Duo T6400.
