Motorola has been very keen in announcing their company’s stream of new handsets for smartphone lovers. We’ve heard all about Droid, Flipout, and Bravo, etc from their range. Moreover, last month, they’ve also unveiled another smartphone which is targeted towards consumers who are first time smartphone users. That is none other than the Motorola Citrus mobile phone. And at last, the handset is hitting the markets today (November 11^th) for a price of $49.99 with a $100 rebate and a two – year contract. The device will be available under Verizon Wireless carrier.

Dubbed as one of the few earth-friendly devices, the Motorola Citrus is made out of 25% post-consumer plastic and is built without PVC and BFR. It’s certified carbon free. This entry – level smartphone also boasts specs and features including a 3-inch touchscreen display, a 3 megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, and stereo Bluetooth. Moreover, the Citrus ships with Android 2.1 operating system. Other features include a web – browser which supports Bing as the primary search engine and Bing Maps which allows users to experience PC-like Web browsing experience and access to Facebook, Google apps like Gmail, Google Talk, and YouTube. In addition, the Motorola Citrus mobile phone sports a QWERTY keyboard which can appear in landscape or portrait modes. The phone also gets a lot of customizable features and user-friendly keys using flicks, swipes, and pinch-zooming navigations.

Motorola Defy Android Smartphone on T-Mobile

T-Mobile has announced the release date of the Motorola Defy Android smartphone via the company’s Twitter account. According to the tweet, the handset will land on the mobile market on November 3^rd. You can get the handset at a price of $99.99 under a 2-year T-Mobile contract.

The 3.7-inch display Android-based device is noted for being a rugged phone with its specs and features including an 800 MHz OMAP 3610 processor, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 1.25GB memory onboard, and a 1540 mAh battery. The mobile phone will also feature the MotoBLUR 1.5 enhancements. Moreover, it has been confirmed that the Motorola Defy mobile phone will be capable of Wi-Fi calling which allows users to have voice calls over Wi-Fi instead of the usual cellular network. Finally, other goodies are present such CrystalTalk Plus to ensure better call quality, Adobe Flash Lite, and DLNA for sharing media.

The specs may not be as impressive as the other smartphones being released these days, however, the company boasts off its selling feature which is the device’s ability to resist strains including scratches, dust, impact, and water so users will be more comfortable carrying this device with them compared to other fragile Android phones when outdoors. Motorola Droid Terminator on 2011

Rumors have it that Motorola is actually working on an all new super smartphone which will run by the name Droid Terminator. The Motorola Droid Terminator will be the company’s flagship device which will be released by multiple carriers in 2011 and is anticipated to take on Apple in terms of mobile gaming.

The Motorola Droid Terminator is assumed to offer specs and features including a dual-core processor running on the NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 platform. The new chipset is thought to run 3D games which are way faster than the usual 3D games offered by other devices. The device will also be powered by Android Gingerbread which the company is waiting for the software to launch. However, the company has issued strict non-disclosure agreements to keep the confidentiality of the phone.

If you’re one interested consumer, don’t expect the handset to arrive yet as it is alleged to have its release date next year after Sanjay Jha will take over the lead as the CEO of Motorola Mobility when the Motorola Mobility split from the rest of the company. Even this upcoming Tegra phone 2 is nicknamed as “Sanja’s baby” prior to defining his moment as the leader. Whoa, looks like we’ll be expecting mobile gaming powerhouse, here! Motorola has finally unveiled the company’s own enterprise digital assistant – the Motorola ES400S smartphone. The Motorola ES400S mobile phone is actually the first Motorola mobile enterprise handheld device to be distributed under the carrier, Sprint.

Though the handset doesn’t look that much pretty, the Motorola ES400S mobile phone offers extreme ruggedness which can withstand four-foot drops, dust, and bumps, built-in Biometric finger swipe security, customizable enterprise UI, three-axis accelerometer, and barcode reading capabilities. At a price of $249 with a $100 mail-in rebate on a contract, you will be able to get a grip on the Motorola R2-D2 Limited Edition. Of course, this smartphone which will be arriving at Verizon Wireless is inspired from the beloved Star Wars character. The handset is slated to have its release date in the 30^th of September.

As for the specs and features, the device is just rumored to run 1.2 GHz processor compared to the standard 1 GHz of Droid 2. End users will also get an Android 2.2 operating system plus a 3.7-inch display. And although the detailed specs and features aren’t released yet, it is expected that you get a tons of Star-Wars related content and a custom-made packaging as if the device is encased in a carbonite-like. Motorola Droid 2 for Verizon Wireless Finally Official

For the past few months, we saw a lot of leaks about this upcoming Motorola Droid 2. At long last, Just yesterday Verizon Wireless just made a formal announcement about this phone.

As expected Motorola Droid 2 ships with Android 2.2 Froyo along with Flash Player 10.1 onboard. The phone is powered by a fast 1 Ghz TI OMAP processor, the same as that in the Droid X.

Specs includes a 3.7-inch multitouch display with raised QWERTY keyboard and also ships with Swype pre-installed. It features 5-megapixel camera with dual LED Flash and with 720p HD video recording, 8 Gigabyte onboard memory and 8 Gigabyte microSD card, 3G Mobile Hotspot capability that handles up to 5 devices. Also includes some software like Blockbuster on Demand, Skype Mobile and My Verizon w/ Back up Assistant.

Droid 2 will is now available today (August 11) on verizon Wireless Website and then will be available in Verizon stores tomorrow (August 12) for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a fresh 2-year contract.

Motorola WX404 Mobile Phone Announced

Say hello to the new Motorola WX404 mobile phone. Remember, it landed in the FCC last week and finally it has gotten official. The device is also known as the Motorola Grasp. The Motorola WX404 cellphone is a CDMA/EDVO/AWS and it will be released by MetroPCs for the US market. We have found out that this mobile phone will have its release date by the third quarter of the year, though we don’t know the exact date yet – hmm, seems as though the only thing that’s left to do is to sit back and relax while waiting for more information in terms of its release.

We all know, that Motorola’s been pushing their way to the Android trend, however this one’s different as it doesn’t run Android. Instead, the handset boasts that it is an Eco-friendly device because it is BFR and PVC free. In short, it’s made out of recyclable materials.

Specs and features-wise, the WX404 comes equipped with a 2.2-inch LCD screen at 220 x 176 pixel resolution. The handset is also packed with a full QWERTY keyboard, stereo Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, music player, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a 3.5 mm audio jack, microUSB port, and a microSD card slot as a support for expansion of up to 8GB. The downside though is that the Motorola Grasp doesn’t have an Infrared connection, or Wi-Fi (a factor that mobile users look for in a phone). Still, consumers can expect features of full messaging capabilities such as SMS, MMS, and IM and email.

As for the rest of the specs and features, the handset also offers additional ringtones, Web browsing, voice memo, and Java enabled applications. The WX404 has dimensions of 2.4×3.7×0.5 inches and weighs 3.7 ounces. It is accompanied by a Li-Ion battery which promises talk time of 5.3 hours, and standby time of 429 hours.

The company’s still mum about the price, though we don’t expect to break the bank to avail the handset. Also, there aren’t any words yet as to whether the WX404 mobile phone will be released in other regions.

Motorola Introduces Rambler and Bali Phones for Boost Mobile

Motorola introduces two forthcoming flip handsets on the wireless carrier Boost Mobile. Headed to the above mentioned operator are the Motorola Rambler and Motorola Bali mobile phones. Both the clamshells devices are slated for a release date of August 11 with the Motorola Rambler running at a price of $99.99 and the Motorola Bali at a more expensive price of $149.99. We’ve discussed the prices already, but how do these two upcoming devices here fare? Let’s see.

Motorola Rambler Mobile Phone

First up is the Motorola Rambler. This clamshell type mobile phone measures 3.7×2.24×0.71 inches and weighs 3.5 ounces. Specs-wise, the handset comes packing with a full QWERTY keypad, a 1.3 megapixel camera capable of video capture, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS. With messaging in mind, the Motorola Rambler is jam-packed with the usual messaging features including – SMS, MMS, instant messaging, and email capabilities. More on the features, the handset boasts a voice recognition feature and a lot more which texting enthusiasts will surely be fond of.

The upcoming Motorola Rambler mobile phone will be paired with Boost Mobile’s $50 Monthly Unlimited plan. Therefore, consumers get to enjoy unlimited talk, text messaging, instant messaging and e-mail, and Web browsing.

Motorola Bali Mobile Phone

Breaking into another handset, we have the Motorola Bali mobile phone. Rocking as many of the same features of the Motorola Rambler including – GPS, stereo Bluetooth, and 1.3 MP camera, the Motorola Bali also comes with external touch controls which users can use for apps such as MP3 player. This entry-level handset also has a microSD card slot allowing for memory expansion. The Motorola Bali measures in at 3.86 x 1.82 x 0.67 inches and weighs 3.5 ounces. This sleek lightweight flip mobile phone also has support for text and multimedia messaging, IM, and wireless web e-mail.

Frankly speaking, we find the Motorola Rambler looking more decent. However, the handsets are not smartphones which makes us think we can’t do anything much with the phones. But what do you thinks guys? Again, the handsets are available for purchase via Boost Mobile retail stores and independent wireless dealers.

T-Mobile Motorola Charm Touchscreen Android QWERTY Phone

Identical to the design of Motorola Flipout that we posted few weeks ago, this is what Motorola Charm very much looks like, the latest Touchscreen Android Mobile Phone with QWERTY keypad that Motorola and T-Mobile recently announced.

Just like the Flipout, Motorola Charm also has square-ish design and also has 2.8-inch display/320x240p resolution with pinch-to-zoom support, QWERTY keypad and 3.15 megapixel camera.

The handset also has a nice feature called Backtrack (like the backflip) on the rear of the phone, this is the small navigation pad on the back that allow the users to navigate through menus, emails and websites without blocking any part of the screen.

Other specs of Charm includes a 600 MHz processor, 2GB memory card that can be expanded up to 32GB, 3.5G support, GPS/BGN, Wi-Fi, bluetooth and quadband GSM, USB 2.0 port, GPS receiver,compass, 2nd microphone noice cancellation, CrystalTalk Plus technology for enhanced audio.

The new phone runs Android 2.1 and has a new version of Motoblur which allows UI to syncs your friends, messages, emails , Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and feeds with continuous updates through the message widgets.

The new mobile phone, Charm doesn’t have an official price or release date yet.
