Sony Handicam DCR-SX15E, DCR-SR15E, and Bloggie Touch Camcorders

Still hot from the IFA 2010, Sony has launched yet another set of mid-range camcorders designed specifically for the consumer-level market.  They are the Handicam DCR-SX15E and DCR-SR15E and the Bloggie Touch.

Wrapping off the trio handycam is the Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20K.  The sleek and very stylish mobile video camera comes with a 3-inch touchscreen panel. It’s also packed with specs and features including Bloggie software and a built-in USB letting consumers share and blog their moments on their favorite social networking sites while on the go.  The Bloggie Touch snaps a 12.8 megapixel CMOS sensor stills and can record a 360-degree panoramic videos and images by clipping on the lens adaptor.  The camcorder also features free-style shooting allowing you to take videos in either landscape pr portrait mode.  The Bloggie Touch camcorder allows you to experience 4 hours HD videos with its 8GB onboard memory.  Available in pink, black, and silver, watch out for its release date on November 2010 at an undisclosed price yet.

Next up are the Sony DCR-SX15E and DCR-SR15E camcorders.  Specs and features include a 2.7-inch LCD with a 50x optical zoom. It also has SteadyShot Face Detection. Dubbed as “light, compact, and easy to use”, these handy cameras allow you to shoot clear and crisp videos and stereo sound onto a removable flash memory.

The Handicam DCR-SR15E can store up to 61 hours of Standard Definition videos with its 80GB built in memory while the DCR-SX15E lacks internal memory, but can allow you to store videos on either memory stick or microSD memory card slot.

Once you’re done shooting, the Direct Copy feature will allow you to transfer videos to an external HDD, all without a need of a PC. Great, huh?

The Sony DCR-SX15E and DCR-SR15E Camcorders will be available in October 2010 at a price which is to be announced yet.

Sony DSC-WX5 and DSC-TX9 – World’s Smallest 3D Digital Camera

Dubbed as the world’s smallest 3D digital cameras, Sony has unveiled two new models to its Cyber-shot line – the Sony DSC-WX5 and DSC-TX9.  The newly added digital cameras are capable of capturing 3D images with its single lens system via a sweeping motion.

These two new small Sony DSC-WX5 and DSC-TX9 3D Digicams have a 12.2 MP Exmor R CMOS Sensor. The DSC-WX5 sports a 2.8-inch display and a Sony G lens 5x optical zoom.  As for the DSC-TX9, it has a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x optical zoom lens. The cameras are also capable of capturing movies in 1920 x 1080 full high definition resolutions. Both boast the Superior Auto mode providing low-image noise levels and Background Defocus features.

The 3D Sweep Panorama offered by these cameras allows users to take panoramic stills in just one press-and-sweep motion. The captured images then can be viewed in 2D or 3D on well-matched 3D TVs. Onboard, the Sony DSC-WX5 / TX9 digicams have a 32MB memory which supports expansion via the SD or SDHC memory card slot.  Moreover, the cameras feature the Sony’s BIONZ processor as well as an HDMI port.

The Sony Cyber-shot DCS-WX5 will be available at a price of about $300 in colors including – silver and black.  The DSC DSC-TX9 digital camera will cost about $400 and is available in gray, dark, and red.  Release date of both cameras will be by the middle of September 2010.  Meanwhile, take a peek on the photos of the world’s smallest 3D digital cameras offered by Sony.

Sony Handycam HDR-XR100

The Sony HDR-XR100 Handycam can capture stunning 1920×1080 FULL HD video and 4 megapixels still images. Just Recently announced together with HDR-XR520V, HDR-XR500V, HDR-XR200V. Sony HDR-XR100 camcorders features 80 GB hard drive storage and also support AVCHD with 5.1-channel surround sound recording and has a built-in zoom microphone and a 3.2-inch wide touch display which provides a resolution of 211K pixels.

You will never worry about recorded video and images when XR100 accidentally dropped because HDR-XR100 also includes the “HDD Smart Protection” which prevent data from being lost. HDR-XR100 also has Face detection technology that can recognize up to 8 faces which made possible by the BIONZ image processing engine.
