Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 Mobile Phone
Ever heard of the Sony Ericsson Shakira?!? Well, the name seems to ring a bell these days, but the codenamed Shakira handset has gotten its official name. It is now publicly known as the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 mobile phone.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 phone has a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen display which runs the Android 1.6 Donut instead of the Android 2.1 Éclair, but you can always opt for an upgrade if you want. The newest handset from the XPERIA line is smaller than the XPERIA X10.
As for its specs, the mobile phone features the a 3.2MP camera, 128MB memory onboard, a microSD card than can be enhanced up to 16gb, 600Mhz CPU, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The handset has also gotten the Sony Ericsson User Interface. Dubbed as entertainment smartphone, the handset features the Timescape which offers instant access to your social networking sites along with a one-click access to contents like the Sony FM Radio, and vide viewing. It also features the Mediascape application together with the usual Google Android apps.
The Ericsson XPERIA X8 is set to roll out on the third quarter of the year with an estimated price of €259. The handset is available in colors – including White, Aqua Blue/ White, Dark Blue/ White, Silver/ White, and Pink/ White.
Sony Ericsson Yendo Cell Phone with Walkman
As for the Sony Ericsson Yendo with Walkman, the company boasts it as the first full touch walkman phone. This new handset sports a 2.6-inch LCD as well as the distinctive Sony Ericsson UI. Sadly though, it doesn’t seem to run an Android OS. The handset has a 2MP camera, Bluetooth stereo, FM Radio, up to 5MB internal memory, microUSB expansion slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The handset promises up to 3.5 hours of talk time or 312 hours standby time. Similar to the XPERIA X8, Ericsson Yendo with Walkman will hit the markets in Q3 2010. The device will be available in a wide variety of colors like black, orange, purple, pink, etc to name a few.
Sony Ericsson Cedar Mobile Phone
Finally, the Sony Ericsson Cedar comes packing with a mobile social networking experience. The 2.2-inch display phone has Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace integration. It has a 3.2MP camera, fast 3G, ActiveSync support. The handset is also considered as environment-friendly as it uses recycled plastics. It also has a waterborne paint. The others say, though, that the phone kinda looks a bit dull in the range of touchscreen devices. This, too, will be available by the third quarter of the year in choices of colors like black/red and black/silver. No info about the price, yet.
I’m pretty sure; PC consumers are getting a bit excited for this bunch of smartphones that will be hitting the market soon. Meanwhile, let’s take a peek at the photo of these new phones; XPERIA X8, Yendo with Walkman, and Cedar.
